1. National Defence Academy (NDA)
The defence sector in India consists of three wings, namely the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy. Students who have passed 10 + 2 can appear for the All India Entrance Examination, NDA. With this, they can be recruited into the respective armed forces. Candidates from any stream can join the Indian Army after 10 + 2. However, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force require physics and mathematics at the 10 + 2 level.
2. SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL)
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination to recruit candidates for the posts of lower division clerk and data entry operator.
3. SSC Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)
Multi-Tasking Staff, one of the entrance examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, examinations are conducted to recruit candidates as support staff in various ministries and government departments.
4. SSC Stenographer (Grade C and D)
Stenographer examination is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of candidates for Grade C and Grade D posts. The educational qualification for this exam is a high school graduation certificate. A stenography skills certificate is also required to take the exam.
5. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)
There are many vacancies in Indian Railways which have passed class 12. Some vacancies in Indian Railways are for Assistant Loco Pilot, Office Assistant, Station Master and Ticket Collector. The basic qualification required to apply for these posts is a high school graduation certificate. Depending on the requirement, the board has the authority to change the prerequisites.
6. Jobs In State Government
For the candidates who have passed class 12, there are many jobs available in the respective state governments. Some of the posts applying with 10 + 2 pass certificate are mechanic, technician, driver, assistant, telephone operator and others.
7. India Army
For posts like Technical Entry Scheme (TES) and Soldiers (Male Only), Female Constables (General Duty), Junior Commissioned Officers (Catering), the educational qualification is a high school graduation certificate.
8. India Navy
A high school graduate certificate is a navigator, cadet entry in technical diploma and senior secondary recruitment (SSR) as well as educational qualification for an artificial trainee.
9. Indian Coast Guard
After graduating from high school one can also hold a position in the Indian Coast Guard. Indian Air Force can apply for the posts of Sailors and Yantrix (Technicians), Assistant Commandant and Airman.
10. Security Forces
Apart from defence, there are various vacancies in the security force for candidates who have passed Class 12. With a 10 + 2 graduation certificate, candidates can apply for some posts in Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
