Prathap pothan today said goodbye to all the fans at the age of 69

As members of the film industry and fans mourned his death, condolences poured in from all directions.

Pratap Pothen, a veteran actor and filmmaker, died on Friday, July 15. According to reports, the 69-year-old was discovered dead in his apartment in Chennai's Kilpauk district.

Pratap began his acting career in Malayalam cinema with popular director Bharathan and has appeared in over a hundred films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

Hie married actress Radhika in 1991, but the marriage only lasted a year. The following year, he married Amala Sathyanath.

Prathap's father, Kolathinkal Pothen, died when he was 15 years old, on August 13, 1952. He began his career as a copywriter in a Mumbai ad agency after finishing college in Madras.
