Mirroring an iPhone screen on TV is one of those features that makes you realise how far technology has come.

Gone are the days when displaying your phone on a larger screen required bundles of knotted cable.

iPhones can now share their screen with TVs and other displays with just a few taps.

Screen mirroring allows you to stream photos and videos from your phone to a smart TV.

Wireless streaming is especially useful for live stream videos on social media, which are typically inaccessible on a television screen.

If you own an Apple TV or an AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV, you can enable screen mirroring.

A list of AirPlay 2-enabled devices is provided below the instructions. To mirror your iPhone on Apple TV or a smart TV, follow these steps:

Swipe from the top-right corner of your screen to access the Control Center on your iPhone.

Select your Apple TV or an AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV from the list by tapping the Screen Mirroring button, which looks like two interconnected rectangles.

Enter the AirPlay passcode that appears on the TV screen into your iPhone.

To stop your iPhone from mirroring, open Control Center and tap the Screen Mirroring button, then tap Stop Mirroring.
